7 Deadly Sins Final Piece
On this page I have uploaded my final images for each sin. For each sin I have written about what I like about the picture and the different angles and lighting I have used to portray each sin. I have also added a photo gallery under each sin which show the different types of pictures I took and how I used my weaker photographs to improve. It is a mixture of good and bad pictures I have taken. For each sin I have used the appropriate colour attached to the sin and added it to the lighting effect. My theme was to do only shoulder shots however now my work consists of both head and shoulder shots. At first I also wanted to use a completely white background but when I was experimenting with my prep pictures I decided not to as I thought it looked cheap. In the end I took all my pictures at home with the background being a plain white sheet. I used objects such as lamps chairs curtains and spotlights to help create different lighting effects. For example, when I photographed sloth I placed a blue top on top of a lamp to create the blue tint.
Lust
I think the lighting in this picture represents lust well as it hits the models face in the right places. For example the light hits the models cheek bones and the tip of her nose as well as the reflection of the light in her eyes.
The lighting gives the picture natural tints of oranges, reds and pinks which gives a nice glow to the skin and adds warmth. The lighting was achieved by putting my hand in front of the camera flash.

Envy
The lighting in this picture was achieved by the model placing herself directly above a lamp shade. I like the use of the dark background.
I only used photoshop to increase the green tint reflecting on the skin to add to the effect of the photograph. I also used it to crop out the lamp.
This photograph was taken whilst I was photographing sloth. As this was a one of picture I did not need to do an envy photoshoot.

Sloth
I have chosen this as my final picture for sloth because I really like the blue tint achieved by the lighting.
I also like the innocence in the models face expression.

Wrath
I think this photograph represents wrath well because the lighting is very dark which portrays a sense of violence and anger.
I also like the way the model is looking up at the camera because it looks very sinical with bright white eyes and the rest of the picture dark with a very slight tint of red to represent anger. I thnk this is an easy sin to identify.

Greed
This sin is different to the other sins because this photo is taken from a high angle looking down on the model. I have done this to show vulnerability as I think that greed can make you do things which can put you in such positions where you can be vulnerable as you will do anything to have everything.
Pride
I decided to take pride from a low angle looking up at the model to make the model come across more powerful and confident as she is looking down at the camera.
I added a tint of purple in this image because it is the colour which represents pride.

Gluttony
I found Gluttony the most difficult sin to portray as it is hard to capture the sin in just one image. I also think this is the hardest sin to portray because I don't understand it as well as the other sins.
